Default 98 accesories catalog question

So looking through all of the stuff that came with my new Ti. The catalog shows a light blue Ti with M contours and a factory M bodykit.

While my car is a sport it has what seems to be limited options. Is the car pictured a factory M car complete with engine? Or was this just a tease to the US market?

M car or club sport has the M3 front and rear bumper. M3 mirrors and the sport suspension. No upgrades to the engine. M42 1.8L engine. CS were only produced in 95. Sports are basically the same except for some exterior mods. Be happy with what you got i started ut with a base.

Nah can't be too much of an issue, done a few e30's and variety of other makes. It's doable.

I have the same accessories brochure for my 99... the blue car is just a regular M44 + M bumpers & side skirts... I think I got alsmost every single option from that catalog.
When I added it up - it came to a few grand... whomever bought it originally spared no expense.

except the rear sun shade... I really want the sun shade! LOL

Might still be in NOS....try ordering it. I wrote down a few for mine. That car is sharp, how do you know it's just a plain jane M44? Regardless it's very nice and our cars are twins in Titanium silver.

I've seen that on ebay a couple of times, I don't think it's a factory option since you have to drill holes to mount it

cause they never put a 6 cyl in the ti... so it had to be an M44.

I'll try to grab the sun shade from ebay (yeah, it was a factory option - I think you'll find it on realoem under accessories) - just cant spend 300 on it right now.

There was a factory accessory rear sun shade. I have no idea if it still available or not. This is the part number.
Manual Rear Window Shade
82249402930

I compiled a list of all the ti specific parts from a catalog that I got in Germany about 8 years ago. It's pretty comprehensive but I don't know how much of this stuff is NLA or unobtainable here.

EDIT: Pelican Parts has it.

Genuine BMW Part: SUN BLIND
- This is a special-order, non-returnable, BMW part
(availability and shipping charges may vary).
