Default car overheating coolant dripping out...no heat to heater

Hey guys i got a problem with my 96 318i.i was driving the curvy roads today when a m3 pulled behind me....as i started doing my thing in the curves i seen hella smoke in my rearview mirror.as i pulled over the m3 passes and says (in a whiney voice)some1 needs a new motor (bitch)anyway i look under my car and i see coolant dripping from my transmission, near the firewall but i cant see where its coming from....and i had to drive it home it was overheating so i turned the heater on full blast at 90 degrees and it was all cold air.so im wondering maybe it was a heater coolant hose???i really dont noe and the shop i always go to is closed until monday and today is friday.so now i gotta use my gf lancer (fwd ewww)till then so anybody can help with ideas to what happened would be great thanks.
