DASC intake question

I am getting all the pieces together for the DASC install but I need an intake setup. I was planning on using a K&N or similar cone/round filter. I was wondering if anyone has the part they used from the throttle body to the filter to allow for proper fit. I already have a racing dynamics heat shield so I just need to make sure it fits in the heat shield.

I am assuming the heat shield will go pretty much right at the TB correct?

Anyone have a similar set up with pictures and parts?

I am installing this at a friends garage so hopefully I can get all the parts I need in advanced so I don't install it and wait to make a custom setup.

Also, the car is a M44. I saw on cosmo racing that their short rams have a little tube leading off of the main air tube, what is that for?

How did your install go?

I just finished installing a kit from another car onto mine yesterday and will attach a photo of the intake it came with.

I drilled a 5/8 hole in the end of the filter and added a grommet for the temp sensor.

Can you upload a photo of your RD heat shield?

Any chance you can make a template of it to help me make one?

I am compiling an installation addendum for the issues I encountered on my install to make it easier for the next person...
