Default Back In Business! Pics of my 328ti

hey all. i used to frequent this forum a lot years ago but then life got a hold of me. i blew the motor on the car more than a year ago and decided that since the motor was out, I might as well respray the car and fix the 14 years worth of daily driver abuse.

i went ahead and repainted the car Alpine White III but had the roof painted Subaru Black Onyx (it has red flake in it). i also had to have the Hartge spoiler repaired as it was cracked and had chunks missing. i had the top of the spoiler painted the same onyx black and the bottom alpine white. i also had issues running 35mm offset rims with 255 tires so i had the rear fenders pulled in such a way that the original body lines were kept near the ends of the wheel wells. lastly, since we had paint left over, we painted the rim spokes the same onyx black and the flat portion of the lips alpine white.

i know it doesnt suit everyone's tastes but this has been my vision for it since i picked it up as a bone stock base model Ti rolling on hubcaps. i still need to do some body panel/headlight aligning and i need to fix my exhaust since it hangs too low but enjoy. i hope you like it and im glad to be back in the saddle!

I love it, almost painted my mirrors like yours too but I don't think it would look as good with my color

I love it, only thing I'm not a big fan of is the eyelids. Nonetheless it looks incredible, thanks for sharing and welcome back.

Thanks all! Yea after putting the car back together I drove around without the eyelids and started liking it. But I decided to put them back on since nobody else in the local club had them (and bc my wife told me too).

Y'all don't know how much I missed driving this car. My wife and I are also fixing up an R53 Mini Cooper S so I was driving that around in the mean time. But something about the Ti just felt... Better.

You ever think of wrapping your mirrors in CF to match your hood? Maybe your roof too? I was thinking about that when I was looking at pics of your car the other day.

I've been looking for some CF mirrors, most of the ones I've seen are a little too ricey though

i think it looks amazing, but the front wheels need to go in or the rear wheels need to go out, it looks sorta weird with the fronts sticking out more

LOL funny u should say that. I actually have 10mm spacers in the rear bc the rear fenders were pulled so far out. The front wheels have no spacers on them. Once I burn through the current rubber I'm going to probably buy some 245s in the rear so they stretch and I can possibly put 15 or 20mm spacers in the rear like my neighbor Phamster (he is on the forums too). He pulled his fenders too and is running 255s on 9" or 9.5" rims with 25mm spacers in the rear. Looks awesome!

First welcome back to the forum! The ti is looking very sharp! I like what you did to it. Time for a new photoshoot with Phamster again.
