Default Need a good Indie in Lexington, KY

Hoping that someone on the .org knows of a good, reputable, independent shop in Lexington, KY. My daughter is a student at UK and will be bringing her 2000 528i back with her in August. The car has 130K on it & even though I have it in good working order, BMW's of that age & mileage always have problems cropping up. I just need to know if there is a place in Lexington that she can take it if need be and wont get taken by someone trying to take advantage of a college student. I know there is a dealership there (Don Jacobs BMW) but I am not very trusting of most any of the BMW dealers. Any help that the members of the .org might be able to give me would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Have faith in your car!

Do new fluids and make sure the common failure points have been address, and just keep on driving. If you make sure the tires, brakes and all shimmies/vibrations have been addressed, I wouldn't worry.

Done! (Or will do before she goes back) I service the car regularly and do make sure I keep all the problem points fixed and serviced properly. I guess I just need the Peace of Mind of a place that I can send her to if need be! I do trust that car a great deal! As a matter of fact it is the most reliable of all the BMW's I have ever owned.

Search up that area's local BMWCCA chapter and see which shops are advertising on there, or ask around for recommendations on their forum.

When I went out to school in STL, I did the exact same thing and found a place. Ended up not needing anything except an alignment from an autocross shop and a gallon of coolant.

After checking out Bimmershops, and reading the reviews of customers, it looks like there is a good one right in the middle of Lexington called Motorsports of Lexington. I will be checking them out the next time we are there. Thanks again to everyone for their help!
