Single row chains, Hybusa valve springs (Everything Titanium and super light), Volvo valves, V8 oil pump. Every possible option offered by Metric is installed on this motor. I believe the head is cracked on #3 but have not disassembled yet. Loosing coolant through exhaust Will part out, let me know what you want by posting in this thread. Offers for parts can be in thread or email if you are shy. All questions will be answered if post in thread. Tire kickers and low ball offers no problem, I won't get offended or bash you. I want this to be a open and honest sale with members able to read which parts are sold for what and what offers are on the table. This is a feeler currently but could be a fire sale in 2-3 weeks. I have about $12K in this motor but fully know it will never get 1/4 of that with a head issue. I plan to disassemble in the next week or two so we know exactly what the issue is. Also looking for a M44 engine low miles good condition, like a motor from a swap John Smith No1Be4Me@gmail.com Last edited by xxxJohnBoyxxx; 11-24-2014 at 05:49 PM. Will you sell me your motor to put in my car? | | | 11-24-2014, 10:34 PM | #5 | Senior Member Join Date: Dec 2007 Location: Gulfport, Florida Posts: 3,208 | I don't think the damage is as bad or what I thought it was. I now think the issue is the turbo is damaged, turbo will not spool and I have oil throughout the intake and exhaust. I have a spare turbo with less then 500 miles. I still want to go back to a stock M44 until I can afford a 525, 740 or M3. The 318 will be my oldest sons car. I will have to build another Chevy if I want to race or put a 406ci in the 318. I don't know yet. | | | 11-24-2014, 11:26 PM | #6 | Senior Member Join Date: Dec 2011 Location: SoCal Posts: 702 | Quote: Originally Posted by teetime4one Ok, I'll pay you for the motor. I will call as soon as someone comes by my house with a phone. I will hold the motor for you. The motor is right around 200 hp without boost. You can boost 18 psi on 93 octane pump gas. When you rode in my car we we boosted under 15 psi so that will give you a idea of what to expect. Question, Are you going to want boost? If so we can do that too while you are here, I have a almost brand new turbo but would suggest reduceing the charge pipe to 2" until it hits the intercooler then 3" which I already have cut for a clean install. I would think you want my Spec Stage 5 clutch set too unless you can find a clutch that will handle 500 ftlb of torque. I need to find a OBD-II M44 to install so I can take this motor apart and fix it right without rushing. I also need to look into all sensors on your 1995 to ensure we get it all right | | | 11-29-2014, 10:07 PM | #12 | Senior Member Join Date: Dec 2013 Location: Sheboygan,Wi Posts: 135 | I'm intrested in it.not local though | | | 11-29-2014, 10:28 PM | #13 | Junior Member Join Date: Apr 2014 Location: Clemson, SC Posts: 25 | Any reason you used the m44 head? I may be interested in some parts to build up my m42 | I used the M44 head since my car is a 1997 and I wanted to keep OBD-II. I had my DME coded by Barrie @ Midnight Tuning, Barrie wrote code for the following: the MAF table so I could run a 3" MAF, injector table for 60# injectors, delete DISA error, the following limiters 7,500, 8,000 and 8,500, Spark advance table, and a few things I know I forgot. How it works is under anything less then 1/2 throttle the motor runs off closed lambda control using the adaption values in the ram of the DME. Anything over 1/2 throttle or in boost the DME goes open loop and uses code written specifically for the correct fueling for the load amount. The motor on the highway would get 32-34 mpg. in the city 24 mpg but usually lower since I was abusing boost. | | | | | Currently Active Users Viewing This Thread: 1 (0 members and 1 guests) | | Posting Rules | You may not post new threads You may not post replies You may not post attachments You may not edit your posts HTML code is Off | | | |
