Question Center Console

Can some one point me to a tutorial of some kind that instructs on how to disassemble the center console. I don't want to risk it and mess something up. 1995 318ti

remove black cupholders (i think two screws that hold the black part in.)

the grey part is taken out by removing two screws in the back of the console...one in the back ashtray and one in the grey compartment where the cupholders.

there is one big screw that holds the grey console down under the hazard button.

note: its grey in my car...may be different in yours i dunno...if you need more help just ask

for a stock radio there should be 2 little tabs (one on each side) that you have to flip back, once that's done use a hex key to loosen the two bolts.

sounds kinda like the one i have...

first you must pry off the black rectangle trim that borders the CD player. if you look closely, there are two tabs, one on each side of the head unit. the tabs are spring loaded and lock into place. if you push them both up at the same time, you can slide the head unit out relatively easy. It is just those two spring loaded tabs holding the head unit in the bracket. push the tabs up and it slides out ... easy!

if this isnt your cd player, then im not sure off the top of my head, but i imagine it is similar

I'm sure it is. I'll look at it in the morning. That's the same iPod set-up I'm about to do, except all black. I like the short mount.

Remove the shifter boot, reach under and push up on the hazard switch. all the switches pop right out.
