Default NO LONGER NEEDED - WTB Hood - Alpine White

Got One. Thanks, HotMilk!

After my travails with the bad hood release cable, I am leery of shutting my hood until I'm SURE I'm done in there, so today after a bit of work, I left it unlatched because I wanted to check a few other things.
Flash forward 2 hours, and I got in the car with no recollection of the hood being open, hit 40mph, and BAM! -- Hood B'oken now (along with struts and possibly hinges).
I was able to shove it down, but she's shot, and I need another.

I'd much rather get one that's already the right color than mess around painting it.

I'd also much rather get one I can drive by and pick up (somewhere in the Northeast), rather than try to figure out how to stuff it into a mailbox.

Anyone got one?

Thanks,

- Eric

Hi Eric, sorry to hear about your unfortunate incident. While I don't have a hood to offer, I do have a little advice that may be helpful. First and foremost, the 318ti shares the same hood with the e36 sedan (4dr). This will make it easier to find one since you are not limited to a particular model. Secondly, from my own personal experience, you could fit a hood in the cargo area if you fold the rear seats down and slide the front seats forward slightly. Best wishes and good luck.

Yeah, I was aware of that one - funny design quirk: longer hood for 2-doors than for 4-doors and ti's.

THAT is a good piece of information!
Could make a trip much easier if I didn't want to bring the pickup truck.

Thanks, Jess!

I have an AW hood from my M3 sedan sitting in my storage. If you drive up to pick it up, you can have it for free.

Tempting offer, but I doubt I'll be passing by in the near future .

Just cleaning up old Wanted threads.

I did get a hood (actually a couple since I posted this). Thanks, Mike!
