Default Suspension to support 328

I just put a downpayment on a 1998 318 and I had a few questions. Not sure if i should be talking here or in Motor swaps. I plan on putting either a 328 or 325 motor in the car. I was thinking i might need to upgrade axles n stuff too. Will that have an effect on the springs/shocks? Should I hold off on buying any suspension pieces till i have the engine and axles in? Anyone here have a 328 or 325 motor swaped in? If so what is your suspension setup?
