Default need advice

I'm replacing my engine tomorrow with another m44. What would you guys suggest I replace before I put the motor in. I already got new gaskets and a new timing chain tensioner. Also, I am changing the oil and all the filters. Is there anything I'm overlooking?

You might want to replace your rear main seal since you'll have the tranny off (I have the puller tool, if you need to borrow one). I'd also suggest a new clutch and maybe have your flywheel resurfaced.

mine is an automatic so I don't need to worry about clutch or a flywheel at that. (I think) so rear main huh? ok makes a lot of sense. Is the tool bmw specific cause I'm doing the work at the base's Auto craft shop and they have all the tools that I might need there.

It looks like this:

I think I got all of the parts and tool from pelicanparts.com.

I think a good shop would have a puller that works.

I know they have a puller kit with like 15 different attachments. I'm sure one of them will get it done.

also If you guys ever replaced the headers.... how hard was it to take off the old one? did you get new exhaust manifold studs or reused the old ones? I don't want to run into any road blocks once I'm started.
