Default Changeing OEM seats to Aftermarket sports / raceing seats... help?

Hey I was wondering if anyone have tried to install raceing / sports seats into a TI?
I may change my seats, but I got heated seats and airbags in the car, and was wondering if I can swap this from OEM seats to the aftermarket seats ?

I know that its possible to take of the seatcovers on the seats I want to buy...

Anyone know anything about this ?

If I manage to change the seats and get airbag and seat heat working, il make a advanced How to / DIY for u guys, with write up and pictures =)

just remember to disconnect the battery and let it sit for about a minute before you disconnect the sensors under the seat, otherwise you'll have an airbag light come on that you will need to clear with a scan-tool

Right on. I'm thinking of doing the same, albeit w/ a seat I'm building.

I don't own a ti (yet), but am working on it to put a prototype into. For those of you who can take a quick measurement, will a seat that's 21.5" wide fit?

Thanks!

How did you solve the problem of airbag occupancy sensor at passenger's seat?
I wish to swap in a pair of racing seats but worry about the airbag light...

As far as I know the airbag sensor is in the seat belt locker / connecter... ?
Then you just have to use the OEM seat belts and lockers, should work...
If u change steering wheel to a aftermarket one without airbag, u can just connect a 2ohm resistor to the airbag wireing... that should make the OBD system think u have a airbag...
