Default 325 swap

what am i lookin at to do the swap, im rebuildin the engine, which i need a exploded view of everything if anyone has one, i have the harness and everything, do the mounts just line up or will i need to adjust them. is there any post in hear that helps with the 2.5 liter, i need all the help i can get and i tried to search but couldnt find anything.

Plenty of info on swap. E36 to E36 you shouldnt have a problem?

The mounts will line up. Are you going from OBD-II to OBD-II?

check the notebook section (under stories i think). steven did a 2.8 swap into his and i'm thinking a good deal of the info would apply. same with the m3 swaps, they should all be pretty similar. for an "exploded view" of the engine, try using the ETK at www.realoem.com/bmw (you'll need the last 7 digits of the donor car for the 2.5 or at least the year/model). you'll need to look through a bunch of different diagrams to see how it all goes together, but you should be able to figure it out. i would suggest printing them.

sick thanks, and yea its a obdII to obd II also any parts like the 328 cams that are a good mod for interchangin from engine to engine while i have it out?

A little off topic but does anyone have any leads on a cheap M52 swap?

Engine/harness/DME...don't really need the tranny since mine's still in good shape. Trying to sell the car but since nobody's interested, I figure I'll go this route. Sold (gave away) my '76 2002's and there's room for a new project but still not enough money for the S52!! I'm talking like under $2grand...under 150k miles.
