It's just so good, that everyone loves it. we stopped off to get some groceries on the way home. after loading the shopping into the boot, i went to return the shopping trolley, only to come back to my bimmer with my wife in the drivers seat!! hehehe. she sooo wanted to drive it, but too bad she can't drive manual. i'm gonna have to teach her now coz she want's to drive it! in conclusion, i can say that it's definitely not girly! it's a peoples car....but not a VW :P -Impyboy | | | 07-11-2006, 11:45 PM | #19 | Senior Member Join Date: Dec 2005 Location: Portland Oregon Posts: 1,363 | Quote: Originally Posted by nusstroy When i told my boss i was buying a Ti, he said it was a girl car at first too.... i dont know why though, hes dumb. | Same with my boss, he was like "damn you got a chicks car" I was like "bull****" I can stick a 328 engine, I see the ti as a hybrid, and many people call hybrids sissy cars anyway, yet they are the way of the future! Also i just tell anyone who says that that I like hatchbacks rather then trunks...less weight, no big butt. | | | 07-12-2006, 12:26 AM | #20 | TRETEN IRGENDEINES ESELS Join Date: Aug 2004 Location: Rhode Island Posts: 3,687 | All my friend where just like holy F__K he's got a bimmer. __________________ 98 Avus Blue 318 ti Active clear outs all around, stealth turning signals, blue led interior lights, 35% tinted windows,K&N air filter, 12" Kenwood Sub, MTX Thunder Amp,Alpine cd changer, Leatherz Armrest,ACS Pedals/Handbrake/FloorMats & Vitesse Tuning Carbon Fiber B-Pillars/CF Spark Plug Cover, New 16" MSW Typer 14 Rims on Goodyear Triple Treds www.myspace.com/avusblueti | | | 07-12-2006, 01:01 AM | #21 | Senior Member Join Date: Dec 2005 Location: Asheville NC Posts: 669 | Quote: Originally Posted by impyboy we stopped off to get some groceries on the way home. after loading the shopping into the boot, i went to return the shopping trolley, only to come back to my bimmer with my wife in the drivers seat!! hehehe. she sooo wanted to drive it, but too bad she can't drive manual. i'm gonna have to teach her now coz she want's to drive it! | I know that feeling. Obviously not as girly as a cabriolet, beetle, or miata, but still... an import hatchback isn't exactly the most testosterone-laden vehicle money can buy. (I would say that a guy who owns a 318ti is confident enough that he doesn't have to buy a Mustang or some such...) This is based primarily on the fact that I have had at least 2 women tell me the 318ti was "cute". My wife thinks that M3's look too "macho", but she is fine with the 318ti. __________________ Silver 98 318ti Standard trans, Sport Package: 16" Stock Wheels, Foglamps, Sunroof, Heated Leather Seats, Bilstein performance shocks, OEM Sach's clutch kit, Dunlop SP Sport A2 225/50/16 tires, Alpine CDA 7894, Dual Rockford Fosgate 12" subs, Rockford Fosgate Amp, Leather Armrest, Replaced M44 engine with only 40k on it! http://www.geocities.com/evalha/bmwsmaller.JPG | | | 07-12-2006, 05:42 AM | #27 | Senior Member Join Date: Dec 2005 Location: Portland Oregon Posts: 1,363 | Quote: Originally Posted by evalha007 I wouldn't consider it a girl car **BUT** I have to say that the 318ti definately has a higher "girly" factor than say... an M3.
