I had to get a new ignition lock. | | | 04-23-2007, 05:45 PM | #6 | Junior Member Join Date: Dec 2006 Location: calgary ab Posts: 5 | yeah tried no power for 30 mins. tried not doing anything leaving it locked for 1 hour. gettin it towed to bmw specialists shop. i only got one key with it, and its kind of gettin old looking. tumbler might have busted? replacing ignition expensive? | | | 04-23-2007, 06:39 PM | #7 | Senior Member Join Date: Jul 2004 Location: Florida Posts: 1,595 | Quote: Originally Posted by blackbimmer replacing ignition expensive? | Mine sure as hell was. The key will have to be ordered from the dealer and they'll require ID and proof that you own the car. Be forewarned that the key isn't cheap... mine was about $40. I'm not convinced that your problem is a worn key because of the "beeper noise" you mentioned.
