Default Alarm Died

The Alarm chrip was getting weaker and weaker till you could hardly here it but the door locks and deadbolts still locked. It was like that for about 10 days now nothing works have to use key to lock doors. Checked all fuse's and chance of both key fob battery's being bad are slim, any suggestions on where to look???? Any body have this problem before?????

Thanks vwt3

Nope. The obvious question would be how's your battery's charge? If all is well with the battery, then I would figure it was the actual alarm system. Start with the cheaper horn first... rather than the "brain"... You can buy a universal car alarm horn for less than 20 bucks. If that doesn't work I would think it was the "brain"....

I also don't know the schematics of alarm systems, but I do know that in DEI alarms, relays are used.

Hey bluebastion so the alarm is dealer installed not factory? I guess the relay should be the frist look then work from there.

thanks vwt3

I got it fixed thanks to a post( Fuse # 47 whereis the @#$%^ )by iammemares on where the fuse is for the alarm system. Fuse up in the kick panel drivers side 15 amp now doors lock and arm's the alarm with the key fob. Fuse was blown, didn't know there was one up there go figure. Alarm siren still does not work must be a short in siren or something, have power going in but not working. Wondering if all siren's are all the same from all dealers around the country (dealer installed item?) and if any member has one for sale?

That's probably why the fuse blew
