Default Who is the biggest wheel whore, eurohb or me?

In the never ending race to have newer rims than Bryan, I just picked up a set of BBS style 42's...

This means, I now have these, an original color set of Style 5's (currently on the ti), a custom color set of style 5's (black and violet), a set of M-Pars (currently on my touring) and the OEM rims from the 525it... 5 sets of rims, 2 cars.

I must be crazy! What to do now? Suggestions?

It's not like I needed this extra set, but I had just sat down at the computer, opened CL Auto Parts, and these had been just posted. Guy lives 5 minutes from me, too... Quick text, and presto, they are in the back of my truck! (Got them so cheap I could double my money in an hour...)

Now I am trying to come up with the best combo of wheels and tires for both cars based on what is in my garage...

you should put the purple style 5's on the ti and find that rare violet interior and install it and that would demolish any other colorway

I doubt I can find the violet interior, but I can refinish leather in any color I want...

Hmmm... Black vader seats with Violet center sections, matching rear seats too...

If I were to paint one portion of the exterior Daytona Violet, which one should it be?

That is really handy being able to do that, hell id go with the purple centers, i have never seen anything close to the violet interior so it would be sick cause it would give your interior a cool contrast and you would be one of few with a custom interior, and then on the outside you could have your purple style 5's with like purple fog lights, or purple badges, or maybe even just the grille in violet, any of these things would give it that cool hint of purple without over doing it

kidney grilles.

I ran e39 style 42's on both of my e36's in Europe. Had a set on my ti for a little while. Since I've owned the ti, I've had: Original 16" style 18's, DSI's, e39 style 42's, OZ Superleggera's, e39 style 19's, two sets of e39 style 5's and a set of 15" steelies. That's 8 sets of wheels for one car. Heck I've been through three sets of wheels with no engine

That wouldn't suck. :-D You've got the "Active" interior, right?

Hmmm... first thought on that is "meh." However, if it were something subtle, it could work. I rarely like painted kidney grills like Jess suggested, but and area that small would be OK. I'd almost suggest painting the moldings purple, but I don't think that would look so great either.

The problem is that once you put any purple on the outside of the car, you're limited in what other colors you can use on the wheels because a lot of other colors would clash with the purple.

Giving it a little more thought, I think the lower mesh on the M3 bumper would look kinda cool painted purp... excuse me "Daytona Violet" Otherwise, since you left it open to "one portion of the exterior", I'd paint THE BODY purp... excuse me Daytona Violet
