I am now the happy owner of a 1995 318ti. I have an original 318ti brochure so it was fitting that I finally got the car to go along with it. I’ve liked these cars since they first came out and am happy to finally own one.
I’ve already started addressing some of the pressing issues, including one failed and one soon-to-fail window regulator and very tired suspension. The suspension could use an overhaul so I may take the opportunity for an upgrade. I’d prefer to keep the stock ride height but I’d like an upgraded setup that complements the LSD that the original owner optioned. I was thinking about Meyle HD parts kit from ECS plus new struts and shocks TBD. I’d welcome recommendations on how to proceed and where to look on the forum for sage advice. Is there any “while you’re in there” advantage to having the brake lines replaced with the suspension work? Recommendations on shops in the SF Bay Area (East Bay) are also welcome.
I’m looking forward to enjoying my new car! Cheers!
Welcome! We should have this conversation over some BBQ. NorCal! Meet in mid September? Around the 17th?
Maybe another fix and eat session...
Look forward to meeting you... Cheers!
