Default H&R coilover pics installed in my ti.

Installed The H&R coilovers in my Ti the other day. They are dropped as low as they can go, which added up to another 1-inch drop in the front & a 3/4 inch drop in the rear from my previous H&R race spring setup. The improvement in handling is second to none; body-roll is almost non-existent and the thing rides like its on rails!

Handling wise you may want to check the control arms to make sure that the outside are not higher than the inside. If that is true then the car is too low and the roll centers on the car are screw up to the point that the car will roll and actually handle worse.

Car definately look good though. I remember when I first got my coil-overs. It was night and day.

You just gave a new meaning to slammed. I thought the race springs are low...haha

I've been thinking about buying some PSS9 coilovers vs. the H&R

Looks great and I bet she can take on some curves.... Keep it up!!

Can you measure from the ground to the front and back of the side skirts? I'm thinking about upgrading to that kit this spring. Also, what was included with the kit and how much $? Thanks!

Good point AlaskaBlue; I'll check for that. I'm still playing around with the ride height setting; I’ll be raising it up a bit most likely. For the photos i thought it would look good slammed.

Thanks Platanos! The big advantage of the PSS9's is of course the adjustable dampening. The H&R's have slightly more adjustability in ride height but no dampening adjustment whatsoever, so be prepared for a VERY rough ride. I'm not kidding, there are bumps in roads that I swore didn’t have any bumps in them before! How are the OZ Mito's working out for you? Have you decided on a way to get them to fit?

The front part of the side skirt (right behind the front wheel, also the lowest part of my car at the moment) sits at 4.5 inches of ground clearance with the coilovers adjusted to the lowest setting. I'll get back to you on the measurement of the back skirt; my car is at the shop getting an e30 325 3.73lsd installed at the moment.

I purchased the kit from Understeer for $1,100. That was the best price I could find anywhere. Here is the link: http://www.understeer.com/onlinestore-suspension.shtml

The kit included pretty much everything you need, the only thing I replaced which was not included in the kit were all 4 shock mounts. I also replaced the top washers that sit between the front shock tower and the shock mounts. I took my time, so the install took me about 5 hours, you could do it in 3 to 4 though.

Wow, thats a good deal! You could barely pick up one new tire for that price.

Man, that's better than the 4 15" 185 tires with steelies I got from Arren a month ago. I paid $50 for those.

Thanks! I might sell them, I just need to do some research to come up with a price first. I will keep you informed.

Just measured the back skirt to the ground and it measures 5.5 inches, also with the rear suspension dropped to the lowest setting. I hope this answers your question, Dusten.

Looking good with the new set up! Any rubbing issues? The drop makes your wheels look much bigger than 18's.
