Unless they are genuine BMW parts you need to be careful about the fit. I'd worry about leaking. You don't want to go with the BMW clears? __________________ ...steven BMW CCA #146825 1996 BMW 328ti • 2003 MINI Cooper S • 2016 M235i www.bmwcca.org | | | 07-11-2005, 02:31 PM | #3 | Senior Member Join Date: Jun 2003 Location: Saint Paul, MN Posts: 3,244 | Consider this: the stock tail lights are signature BMW. The more you stray from that (e.g. the first option) the less your car looks like a bimmer. Honda copied the e36 proportions, groove in the side and angled tail light edges. Why make yours look like a Honda with the circular tail lights? __________________ My Former Rides 1999 318ti Alpine White, Cali Roof, Dinan goodies 1996 318ti Hellrot California Edition | | | 07-11-2005, 02:35 PM | #4 | Senior Member Join Date: Oct 2004 Location: North Saint Paul, MN Posts: 606 | Definitely not the first lights!!!! __________________ '96 Alaska Blue ti w/ Supersprint cat-back exhaust...Dinan CAI & Chip...Eibach Pro-Kit Springs...Bilstein Sport shocks...BavAuto camber kit...Brembo d/s rotors...UUC SSK...Centerforce Dual Friction clutch...TMS 9lb flywheel...18 inch OZ Rims...Carbon-Fiber dash/gauge bezel...Momo Shift Knob...Indiglo gauges...Schroth Harness...ZKW's/ProLumen 6k HID...Predator Chromiums http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y15...urowerksig.jpg | | | 07-12-2005, 12:08 PM | #5 | Member Join Date: May 2005 Location: Newcastle, England Posts: 71 | yep your right, the 2nd ones it is. are there any other lights yous know of that are available for the ti? | | | 07-12-2005, 12:34 PM | #6 | Senior Member Join Date: Jun 2003 Location: Greenville, SC Posts: 9,356 | I've seen smoke colored rear lenses but don't care for them either. I believe people should be able to see your brake lights. The smoke colored ones make it difficult to see the light. __________________ ...steven BMW CCA #146825 1996 BMW 328ti • 2003 MINI Cooper S • 2016 M235i www.bmwcca.org | | | 07-12-2005, 12:46 PM | #7 | Senior Member Join Date: May 2005 Location: England, UK Posts: 1,288 | i've got m3 look bmw oe ones. perfect fit | | | 07-16-2005, 12:14 AM | #8 | Senior Member Join Date: Dec 2004 Location: Northern New Jersey Posts: 395 | i'd say get the OEM clears. those aftermarket ones are crap, and as 96cali said, it's not a bimmer if it doesn't have bimmer parts. | | | 07-16-2005, 06:31 AM | #9 | Senior Member Join Date: May 2004 Posts: 411 | Quote: Originally Posted by nick_hegel Definitely not the first lights!!!! | truth | | | 07-16-2005, 06:41 AM | #10 | Member Join Date: May 2005 Location: Ontario, Canada Posts: 40 | Yeah, the first lights are just too crazy and wouldn't compliment a Bimmer. My clear tailights and sidemarkers are geniune BMW parts, but my clear corners are OE, but they look and fit fine. | | | | Currently Active Users Viewing This Thread: 1 (0 members and 1 guests) | | Posting Rules | You may not post new threads You may not post replies You may not post attachments You may not edit your posts HTML code is Off | | | |
