i have a 97 ti and while putting the window up it fell out of its track. i placed it back in and while bringing the window down it fell out again. any suggestions on what the problem might be and how to fix it?

This is a common e36 problem. Look at understeer.com for help. It is usually worn guides that are easy to replace or some of the tracks may have come out due to loose screws. You need to take the door panel off regardless, look at the mechanism, and see what is going on. Check all the screws, look at the bushings, tracks, make sure nothing is bent. It should be fixable.

I had this problem with my drivers side - I found out that they redesigned the guide because it was rusting out. I think a new one was only like $15 from the dealership and took 10 mins to install. 1 bolt in the door.
