Default How To Install A BMW U.S. Dealer-Installed Alarm

Step 1: Are You Ready?

Do you have all the parts? You'll need the control unit ("black box"), the cable with a 12-pin main connector, a 1-pin hood switch connector, the LED and its leads, and the siren. I bought some industrial-strength Velcro to secure the "black box"...

Unhappy

this is exactly what i want ! i have the alpine unit w/ 3button fob but no harness in the car. I have no idea this plug was installed in America by American BMW dealers...

i just want to install it to open/close the car with the fob, but here (brazil) the shops refuses to do this job in my car

You're welcome.

And I've pruned three words from my post.

You probably only need to make a few connections for that for: power, ground perhaps an ignition-on signal and the ZKE/ZVM lock/unlock inputs.

Do you have or can you borrow the BMW/AMP round 2.5 mm^2 contact removal tool?

Every BMW dealer is supposed to have one and it didn't used to be expensive. Tomorrow I'll see if I can find someone who sells it or an equivalent. (It's getting late, here.)

This looks like it will pop the 2.5 mm^2 round contacts in the black 12-pin plug.

The website quotes another 27,65 euros for parcel post to Brazil, however, they don't need to ship such a light item that way. You could ask if they can send it to you as an registered letter (Maxibrief International per Einschreiben) for 6.45 euros. That will give you 25 euros insurance which would nearly cover the tool and postage.
