Also, you've master the Motronic 5.2 and I'm still on the stock DASC: I think at some point we gotta talk too ... But now you gotta focus on this one, it's far more important!!!!! __________________ 2003 Z4 2.5i 2002 Ducati Monster S4 Last edited by lpcapital; 07-18-2009 at 12:21 AM. | | | 07-18-2009, 08:24 AM | #167 | Senior Member Join Date: Feb 2005 Location: Europe Posts: 136 | Hi, I gave up time ago to concentrate my efforts and my time on other things. I know, it would be a dream to know the meaning of all the maps/function/costants in that ecu (cause they are a lot), but simply a lot of time or experience or help from BIG names will cut down the time a lot. Last time I created an XDF with all maps & costants from the directory, something like near 200 maps IIRC. Then I realised that I was working on 667-693 ecu file and I have 667-972, so all those maps needed to be checked manually. Insane job Give a name to those map as I said would be a dream. A few can be identified from their shape, but I can't know when the ecu will use that specifical map without disassembly it. I understood some identifier (like load, lambda, volt...) but on some of them I can't be 100% sure. Here no small-medium ecu tuner had that damos... the big ones have it, I know surely that they have it, but they say "to the public" that they don't know what damos are (funny eh? they have fear that someone will steal their job/clients) As now my dog destroyed my interface, so I need to build another one _____ Then I found adaptronic. This ecu is used a lot on miatas turboed and on other cars, as you can see from the link below, and it's still a relatively new product in respect of the other in the market. It feature a magnific autotune function that it seems to do wonders. It can read directly the serial interface from the Innovate LC-1 wideband and others WB, so that there aren't analog issues with the usual used 0-5v wire. It seems a good product, and I read a lot. I think that if my actual piggyback will create problems I'll buy it. He is doing it by disassembly and reassemble...the hard way...I've got real good tunes from him so if anyone wants them I will get you in contact with him. He is a great guy and not a dick like the other guy in Pompano Beach. | | | 07-18-2009, 09:50 PM | #169 | Senior Member Join Date: Dec 2007 Location: Gulfport, Florida Posts: 3,208 | Board Members, Major frame work is needed to get this thing to fit. Well I think it's major. I've had the motor in 5 times and all measurements are taken so I'm jumping in with a grinder torch and welder to make the needed room. Hope to be finished tonight. Worked on it till 4:30 last night and 3 hours today...Loven every minute of it | | | 07-18-2009, 10:05 PM | #170 | Senior Member Join Date: Aug 2006 Location: Central NJ Posts: 2,440 | What parts are hitting? | | | 07-18-2009, 10:08 PM | #171 | Senior Member Join Date: Dec 2007 Location: Gulfport, Florida Posts: 3,208 | Quote: Originally Posted by lpcapital Looks like you found time to clean the yard... or is it just the pix.... eheheheh!!!! If you want to use you origianl key then buy a remote key antenna and mount it in you glove box and keep the key that matches my DME next to the antenna. The car will run normal but stage 3. To protect with EWS just remove my key from ash tray | | | 07-18-2009, 10:35 PM | #172 | Senior Member Join Date: Feb 2005 Location: Europe Posts: 136 | I suppose your compressor is hitting the frame, right? With my little T3 60 trim everything fits well, I was even able to stick the internal wastegate between turbo and engine block. Except that my compressor is only at 1mm from that shield on the motor mount, but at least it fits without huge hacks. With that big turbo you should went topmount I hate working on jackstands and without the possibility to take out the engine | | | 07-18-2009, 11:16 PM | #173 | NOBODY F's with the Jesus Join Date: Oct 2006 Location: Ventura California Posts: 7,824 | Quote: Originally Posted by cooljess76 Ohhh, you're doing a bottom mount! My s52 motor mount has a shield to deflect some of the heat from the headers. You may want to consider it. I might have a spare laying around in my garage if you want it. | Quote: Originally Posted by xxxJohnBoyxxx Board Members, Major frame work is needed to get this thing to fit. Relocated 1" x 3.5" piece and reinforced with heavy steel so it's pretty strong. Engine is installed, transmission is inslalled, shifter installed, transmount installed. Heading out to install drive shaft and start exhaust work. Guess what. Someone forgot to tell me the down pipe can not be installed with the transmission in place to add to the drama the down pipe flange is a 2.75" and needs to be a 3" ......Took out all heat shields drive shaft and I'm looking like crazy for a T3 3" flange this morning to weld on the down pipe so I can put it back together.
