When you turn the key nothing happens. No clicking at all. The battery is good and I have voltage to the starter. There is a slight voltage drop when i turn the key to start about a 1/2 volt. The only thing I had noticed with the starting prior to this was a slight delay before the starter would turn after turning the key to the start position. Maybe a half second or less. But it changed on occasion, very slight difference but noticable (longer delay) after being used to the delay as it was. I tried to identify the start relay (if there is one) but was unable to find any diagram inside the fuse box. Any Ideas where to look to solve this ?
A manual is now on my shopping list..Always after the fact
Just went out to the car and it started. Starter turned a bit slow but it started twice. Seems a bit odd. Still need to figure this out, don't want to get stuck somewhere with this happening.
Hi, I have the same issue on my 1995 318is. I am almost sure at this point that it is the starter soleniod. Can anyone help by giving me some advice on how to replace the starter??
