The oem plastic slats on the base model look kinda cheap. | | | 04-13-2012, 02:23 PM | #2226 | Senior Member Join Date: Apr 2007 Location: Elizabeth City, NC Posts: 3,877 | Quote: Originally Posted by tiFreak mine has a small gap towards the center but I think it should come out alright once it's on, my appointment's in May so it will be a little while before I can get pics | Are you drilling holes to put it on? I was just going to window weld it. __________________ ~Dave~ 98 328ti Morea Grun slicktop 11 128i space gray slicktop 13 JGC WK2 Deep Cherry Search | RealOEM | | | 04-13-2012, 03:38 PM | #2227 | Member Join Date: Apr 2011 Location: Grayslake, IL Posts: 78 | Quote: Originally Posted by jca I'm digging around on the internet and hardward stores for material to fabricate a mesh grill for my 98 base model. The MG is more ford mustang than MG (5.0/T-5 8" rear). It's about 6" wider track and 2" longer wheelbase than a standard B. There's only a handful of parts that haven't been modified. Staying on topic - swapped out the thermostat on the ti last night. Re-bled the system. Drove to work with fingers crossed - everything was fine - rock steady temp gauge at 12 o'clock. Looks like I might have dodged a bullet - a little mixed blessing. Was kinda hoping for an m50 to stuff in it. Rear wheel lock up on brisk turns. Please just be fluid. Please. Need to tape my headliner down in front of the sun visor. Both rear speakers officially shot. Panned to front. A ti followed me into the Advance Auto parking lot. Chatted a bit. Damn I do love driving this car. It's going to get some much needed attention. Just don't want to spoil her. __________________ ...steven BMW CCA #146825 1996 BMW 328ti • 2003 MINI Cooper S • 2016 M235i www.bmwcca.org | | | 04-16-2012, 02:39 AM | #2235 | Senior Member Join Date: Jul 2007 Location: norcal - 94590 Posts: 3,186 | Drove it up to Wine Country with my Navigator, Spike; And edged one step closer to that magic number (for the second time!)
