Dash swap

Has anyone completely swapped their dash? I heard that an e36 sedan dash will fit into our ti's. I want to do this but am I just asking for trouble? If anyone has info, pics or diy post it would be appreciated. Thank you..

I've seen pictures of swaps but don't know anyone who has done one.

I was doing the dash swap..Had the ti dash out and realized i needed some support bars for the e36 dash that differed from the ti ones. Also it was not clear how the ducting for the heater/AC was going to line up. I thought I might need to get the e36 heater shroud?? Also, I noticed that I would need the e36 center console as things were not lining up as they should between the ti center console and sedan dash. Anybody know about the ducts for the air vents?

i posted the same question not too long ago (bout a month) and another problem that you would run into is the door panels dont line up nor do the regular e36 door panels fit (our doors are too long for the sedan panels and too short for the coupe panels) and then on top of that there were some problems that plague the regular dash (saggy glove box) plus they dont look as good in my opinion. if u wanna do it, go for it its your car, customize it how you like . good luck with whatever yo u do!
