I've seen some of the threads about this topic, but do I really need to change the wiring harness on the interior from front to back for a coupe/sedan dash swap? I want to do a black interior swap and have a donor 318is car with a mint condition interior due to new parts. Would there be extra wires inside the dash for the light switches, obc, and dual climate control or do I need to swap the harness? How hard is this job? Worth it or owuld I run into a lot of trouble? Thanks. | | | 11-14-2007, 08:58 PM | #2 | Member Join Date: Apr 2007 Location: SoCal :D Posts: 73 | You need a sedan to swap the Dash IIRC. The coupe won't fit properly. | | | 11-15-2007, 03:45 AM | #3 | Senior Member Join Date: Jul 2004 Location: Florida Posts: 1,595 | Because of the door panels or just the position? | | | 11-15-2007, 06:40 AM | #4 | Member Join Date: Apr 2007 Location: SoCal :D Posts: 73 | The windshield is a different shape than the coupe. There are also some bars in the way. Phamster tried to do it and got as far as getting everything apart before he realized it wouldn't work. | | | 11-15-2007, 09:38 PM | #5 | Senior Member Join Date: Jul 2004 Location: Florida Posts: 1,595 | Damn.
