I recently purchased a '96 318ti. I have no idea if it is a base model, active, or sport. I know it is not a club sport. How do you tell the difference between the different 318ti models? Based on what I've read at this site there were the following models available in the U.S.: - base - active - sport - club sport Does the VIN show what model it is? Or is it an equipment level option? ________ vaporgenie Last edited by ElfinForest318ti; 01-24-2011 at 10:16 PM. | | | 06-15-2006, 02:11 AM | #2 | Senior Member Join Date: Oct 2005 Location: Quad Cities, Iowa Posts: 2,110 | Active models come with a standard auto trans, trip computer and cruise control. I think the sport models came with sport seats and ///M front and rear bumpers. Sorry to hijack the thread but I didnt want to start a new one on the same topic. Can anyone tell if this is a Sport or a Club Sport? http://www.autotrader.com/fyc/vdp.js...g=&cardist=144 __________________ "Drive Fast and Take Chances" | | | 06-15-2006, 02:31 AM | #3 | Senior Member Join Date: Apr 2006 Location: Berkeley, CA Posts: 411 | Clubsport's are m42. Regarding that specific car... I vote "Sport." It's definitely not a "Club Sport" because that version was only sold in the US in 1995, and very few were made. __________________ Real men know how to SEARCH!
