Hello all, Used to own a new '95 318ti, purchased at Peake BMW in Kenner, LA, brand new in 1995. Had to sell it in '99 when my son came along, but loved it and looking for another. Any SE or Gulf Coast 318ti fans out there? Looking forward to chatting with the community of enthusiasts of this fine car. Cheers, jw | | | 01-31-2016, 10:02 AM | #2 | Senior Member Join Date: Oct 2014 Location: Georgia Posts: 118 | Hi, I have owned mines going on two years now. That is my most hated bmw. Had to drive it 40 miles to the stl euro show 25-30mph top speed. I hit 40 going down a big hill, felt like i was going to roll it | | | 02-01-2016, 03:19 PM | #4 | Member Join Date: Oct 2015 Location: Slidell, Louisiana USA Posts: 89 | I'm new to the BMW world, having just bought a 98 318ti last October. My normal brand is Ford, but the price was too good on my 318. I'm in SE Louisiana and have yet to see another 318ti on the road. | | | 02-02-2016, 04:14 AM | #5 | Junior Member Join Date: Jul 2013 Location: Louisiana Posts: 27 | I'm in Shreveport. I have a 1997 318ti that I've owned since 2013. My first 318ti was a 1996 bought new and sold in 2001 with about 90Kmi on the clock. Be patient about finding the right new 'ti. I missed my first one for several years and finally decided if I wanted another in good condition I'd have to cast my net wide and be prepared to pay more for a low-mileage one. This one was from an estate of a wealthy Chicago gentleman who owned several BMWs (all garaged during those brutal Chicago winters) and bought this one new for his wife's 69th birthday in 1997. He passed away in 2012 and his widow moved into a retirement facility in 2013, giving up her keys. Their kids sold their fine home and all his cars that year.
