Default Bad Oil Leak

I have a 1998 BMW 318ti that i'm looking to buy. The only problem with it is that it leaks oil after its warmed up and driven. The only place the oil comes from is the front bottom of the engine. It's almost completely saturated in oil. Is this a common easy problem? Or is this major?

Could be the oil filter housing gasket.

Default Is there good oil leaks?

Word on the street is what Elan said. If you search this site you will see where to look. Bring rags and clean it up then warm and look around. Most other points of leak will not be an easy problem.

Valve cover gasket is easy too, Oil pan is a 3 on the shade tree howler monkey scale..

Just did the oil filter tower on mine last summer, about an hour and it was done..
