Default Wanna help me out with rims?

Okay, so I am gonna be making a decision on wheels (semi) soon, and would like some input.
Im will be putting on Bilstein Sport shocks with H&R sport springs, so it will be around 1.4" lower than stock in front, and 1" in the rear. I really want to stay at 17", with a silver color.

Here's what I'm looking at......

http://www.discounttire.com/dtcs/fin...6942&tc=TSWNOG

http://www.discounttire.com/dtcs/fin...6942&tc=TSWSNE

http://www.discounttire.com/dtcs/fin...6942&tc=BEYMES

http://www.discounttire.com/dtcs/fin...6942&tc=BEYBY5

I would greatly appreciate any input!

lol, I like all of them, if it was me I'd get one of the TSW rims just because they're cheaper, I say the Nogaro since I like 5-spoke rims

I would suggest getting the Beyern Mesh type....But only if you are going to buy them wide. I think the lip on the 8.5 wide rims are about 1.5 inches, any less will look like crap.

I have actually had a good look at the 5 spoke TSW's and they will look really good on the ti. Your breaks will stand out a lot more, and the thin spokes will make the rims apear larger then they are. IMO they have a better shape then the Beyern 5's aswell.

Before you make up your mind, just be sure to ask how deep the lip will be for each rim width. Less the 1.5 inches will not look to good, especially with 17's.

Ah okay, so definatley look for 1.5inch lips?
The one thing I am worried about is where to find good looking 17 inch rims with a lip that big.
I saw CSL replicas for 699 (awesome looking wheel) , but they are too big (18x8.5) for what I think would be reasonable on the Ti.

thanks for the help!

After having my 17's for a few months now, I don't think 18's would be a bad choice. I think once your car is lowered 18's will look really good. Just take a look a Mallard's pictures if you want to see a good looking ti with 18's.

Naw, you dont need a lip that big. A lip that big looks really nice but it definitely doesnt look like crap without it. I have DSIIs and the lip isnt that big and they are very nice, the lip that the rears do have looks great. I wouldnt make that an absolute must of your search.

Okay, so I took a look at Mallard pics, and they really do look good. But would I need to worry about camber problems or rubbing with 18s?
Would it be worth the price jump? Would ride quality be sacrificed?

so many questions! haha

thanks guys

18s may rub, ride quality may be sacrificed, performance may be sacrificed and they wont be worth the price jump (well depending on the wheel but if they're like what you posted then no). There shouldnt be any camber problems from running 18s. May I direct your attention to this thread where some very sexy wheels are being discussed, Im personally becoming a big fan of the Style 44s and may snag a set-

http://www.318ti.org/forum/showthread.php?t=22432

OEM wheels are great because 9 times out of 10 they will look clean and dynamically change the look of the car without screaming "LOOK AT ME!!!!!!". Most people think my wheels are stock, I like that, plus if you've seen the before-and-after the difference is almost shocking.

Just realized that you brought up that you were looking at CSL reps, those are one of the few sets of 18s that would very much be worth it.

Thanks for your advice!
I saw the thread and looked through the OEM wheel catalog, and haven't quite found anything i love yet. I am leaning towards the TSW's, and do think that I will stick with 17's. I will keep looking for e36 wheels, and may look for e36 M3 wheels. Do ya'll know of any good suppliers? I think it will be a while before I have the cash to buy wheels, but I do think I should know exactly what i want.
-Thanks
