Default Carbon Fiber Body Parts.

I am looking for Carbon Fiber parts for my exterior body and interior.
I started off looking for a steering wheel to replace my worn out and dirty stock one. I happened to find a Carbon Fiber Steering wheel so here begins my Carbon Fiber Theme on the car. Great for lightening up the car, I wonder how much weight I can cut by using CF body panels all around the car.
I am looking at the VIS GTR hood at the moment. It is $1100 on Ebay but was wondering if any members have found this hood for cheaper.Does it fit well and line up?? I am not spending over $1000 on a hood that dosen't fit properly.
Are the Sedan hoods the only ones that will fit>?

What is the difference with the coupe parts?

Is the difference between coupe and sedan have to do with the signal area on the fenders? Is the coupe hood longer?

Any pictures of CF 318Ti?

Here is the picture of the hood I am thinking of.

There aren't a lot of options out there for CF body parts for our cars because most of the body panels are unique to the 318ti.

The 318ti is the same as the SEDAN from the A PILLAR FORWARD. This includes the hood.

Search the site and you'll probably find mention of everything that's been found so far.

Cool, Looking for Sedan Hood

CF M3 Mirrors if I can find some.

CF fenders, it seems they only make them for the coupe at the moment.
Will the fenders fit properly? Is it the signals that are different? or is the coupe actually longer in front?

Any other members have pictures of their Carbon cars?

There's a guy on here who has a carbon hatch, he posted prices too. I can't remember his user name but if you search you should be able to find it. The thread was fairly recent probably within the last year.

I just saw it but nobody has heard from him since his first posting.
I have experience making composite molds and Autoclave carbon fiber parts.
I used to work with a guy who produced CF Armour for for Government.
Looks like I may have to produce some CF Sedan Fenders on my own.
Wonder is any Ti guys are interested in some CF fenders for our cars if we cannot find some already made.

looks like DTMfiberwerkz has the hood for $895, it's a little cheaper, not by much but quality comes at a price I guess

NOt to mention that if its cheap it probably weighs more than the stock fenders....
Hood saves weight carbon/glass fenders usually add weight...

Guess I am going to make my own CF fenders since you are saying the aftermarket ones are heavier I am going to make some molds and vacuum bag my own set, I might have access to my buddy's Oven Autoclave so I can make some pretty lightweight and very strong parts.
Anybody interested in any?

Was your car listed for sale recently? I thought I saw it on CL here in the Bay Area...

I just searched for your listing to share it with the .org, but it's not showing now.

Make sure you list it here, too (if you haven't already)... It's always great to keep a .org car in the "family" if possible...
