I have the complete alarm/remote locking/comfort locking system from this company, works great. SC Posts: 344 | My recommendation, which of course isn't for everyone, is checking out this site. http://www.asianwolf.com/caralarms.htm Out of all of the selections, I would pick the DEI Hornet, 2 way pager.... I have the predecessor to that model installed in my car... it has everything you'd want functionality-wise in a basic alarm system (such as you've shown in the link) but a heck of a lot more (for almost the same price if not cheaper). It adds remote start and vibration sensors (most BMW specific alarms trigger at open doors and/or breaking glass with a glass breaking frequency detector)... my alarm can be adjusted to be as sensitive as you want it to be... from going of at car passing by, to not going off when an F-16 takes off 500 feet away. Seriously... Last but not least, it is 2-way... so if somebody is messing with your car while you're in the house... it can let you know at the pager... in time for you to take your 45 and pop em' some. For less than $200 dollars, that's what I would go for. | | | 10-24-2005, 05:05 PM | #4 | Senior Member Join Date: Mar 2004 Location: Tracy, California Posts: 473 | Thanks L8 Quote: Originally Posted by L84THSKY I was just discussing this alarm system on another thread. Do you have to take them to the dealer to get them cut? __________________ 1989 E30 325is 5s Coupe Zinnoberrot 1991 E30 325i Auto Coupe Schwartz 1991 E30 325is 5s Coupe Hellrot 1995 318ti E36 Alpine White III DASC (RIP) 1996 328i 4Dr Artic Silver (RIP) 1999 M3 Estoril Blue Metallic RMS Vortech SC 2001 325i E46 Alpine White - Sports Package (SOLD) 2005 E46 M3 Coupe SMG | | | 10-24-2005, 05:06 PM | #5 | Senior Member Join Date: Mar 2004 Location: Tracy, California Posts: 473 | Great price Quote: Originally Posted by bluebastion My recommendation, which of course isn't for everyone, is checking out this site. http://www.asianwolf.com/caralarms.htm Out of all of the selections, I would pick the DEI Hornet, 2 way pager.... The keys are useless, you can't start your car with them, only open the doors. Quote: Originally Posted by Mendi3 Did you do the install? Was it plug and play as they claim?
