Is the the battery relocation secure or just laying in the back.. | | | 03-18-2012, 12:10 PM | #3 | Senior Member Join Date: Apr 2007 Location: NY Posts: 156 | PS, I saw the car on CL and then read the whole swap thread, seems like the car has had a tough life, surprised you would do a tranny swap before knowing how to drive stick, I wouldn't want to learn on a car that I just put all that money and work into. So if this car still has some life to it and isn't beat to hell I might be interested in saving her. Did you ever take care of the suspension and all that.. you ended the last thread with it pretty beat to hell. | | | 03-18-2012, 03:07 PM | #4 | Senior Member Join Date: Jun 2009 Location: nj Posts: 1,099 | I would definitely buy this car if I didint have 3 bmws...for the price you can't beat it for a swapped 318ti..a lot of new parts were installed when the swap was installed.. All the car needs is some interior fixing. It would still be worth it to me even with shipping, but I could never register it here with that non-vanos motor... Alot of the pics no longer show up in the thread so I couldn't see alot of your work, but from what the others were sayin, you did a nice job. My concerns are the rust, which you mentioned, and it also looks like the trunk near the battery is rusted out, the accident you mentioned, and then he had a another one, the fact he learned to drive stick on it, and it was robbed twice, and he ended the last thread saying the suspension and some stuff was shot and whatnot, and the interior is pretty bad, why is that? I miss my Ti tho, and only got rid of it cause it was auto, hell if I knew you could have doen this.. I would have came to you.. I had a 96 m-tch with only 83k miles, like new... | | | 03-19-2012, 02:23 AM | #9 | Senior Member Join Date: Jun 2009 Location: nj Posts: 1,099 | Yea I moved a lot of pictures on m photobucket and I didn't realize it erased them from the web...I had some lil rust inside the engine bay wich I took care off and the only other spot that had rust was the rear 1/4 panel on the wheel well... Mike had bought a battery that fit right where the right side pocket goes in the trunk.. But gave it to me.. And he never got around to get one for his car that's why Its losse now I guess. All it needs is some straps.. Both times his window were broken it was some dickhead with nothing better to do.. I replaced the passenger window the first time and installed the sport moldings. Suspension wise it does need to be attended like every other 17yr old car. Front sway bar links were replaced and Ikno he was going to purchase Rokkor coils for it. And have the car resprayed.. 80k motor thats in great condition .i originally was going to swap that into my car but then bought an m52 Mike has well more than 5k into the car.. And honestly for the price he's asking if your really Interested take a trip to see the car In person.. __________________ 318ti MZK2 | | | 03-19-2012, 02:28 AM | #10 | Senior Member Join Date: Jun 2009 Location: nj Posts: 1,099 | If you want more info Lmk I have the pictures on my photobucket __________________ 318ti MZK2 | | | 03-19-2012, 04:04 AM | #11 | Senior Member Join Date: Apr 2007 Location: NY Posts: 156 | I am local and wouldn't mind checking it out.. tell him to msg me or something. | | | 03-24-2012, 04:41 PM | #12 | Senior Member Join Date: Jun 2007 Location: aNYthing Posts: 160 | Sold...
