The reason I'm asking is because theeurodepot.com has them for $150, and it seems like a pretty good deal.

I think he's talking about bushings, not shocks.

Theurodepot's don't say who exactly makes them - whether they're rebadged bimmerworld or K-mac bushings, but at that price, I doubt they're either. It also doesn't say whether they have a locking mechanism to keep them from coming out of adjustment - the most common problem I hear about adj. bushings.

I would go with one of the more common brands, that I mentioned above.

You're exactly right! Thats why I already e-mailed and asked them, but I haven't heard back yet. From what I have read the bimmerworlds tend to bend, but the k-mac adjustability problem can be cured with loc-tite so I don't know.

Here's some info about the bushings I've found. The second to last post is the most interesting, but he never says what exactly was the problem with the bimmerworld ones. Then there's the review on bimmerworld's website that says they "beat the k-mac ones hands down".

My rear end (subframe I think) "moves a lot" feels like there is something loose...
Trailing arm bushings a big upgrade? What about the rest?

Maurolin- I would bring your car to a shop and have them look at it. The "moves a lot" feeling your getting could be a lot of things. My car moved a lot and it was a bad bearing.

ON TOPIC: Clubsport that just confuses me more, that guy says bimmerworlds suck, bimmerworlds say K-mac's suck. There has to be more people who have used these.

I know. It is confusing. I never seem to hear back from people once they install adjustable bushings. It's as if they drop off the face of the earth.

If I could find out what was the "serious flaw" found by the guy linked in my last post maybe I could decide. If not, I'm going with the k-macs, because I hear that their newest revision keeps its adjustment better. I think that review on bimmerworld.com refers to the first k-mac units.

If this guy in the thread I linked regularly tracks his M coupe, and they haven't come out of adjustment, that's good enough for me.

We're talking about the 4 bushings that hold the trailing arms to the subframe - one possible source for flex.

Another source is the bushings that hold the subframe to the car body. Look at Irelandengineering.com for their poly subframe bushings for the ti. I have a set sitting here until I have time to install them. They are very well reviewed by m coupe/roadster owners.

I got an answer from euro depot for the manufacturer of their bushings. Their answer... "friends of ours".

I just asked a guy on the 318ti mailing list about his bushings and got this reply:

http://autos.groups.yahoo.com/group/.../message/63868

I'm definitely going with the k-macs when it's time to do this.
