It was really easy, the banjo bolt crush washers should be changed. My tie rods were in good shape, they screw right into the e46 rack, however, the e46 racks do not use the lock plates that the e36s use. The stock cooling line can be reused as well as the steering guibo. It is literally plug and play. __________________ ~Dave~ 98 328ti Morea Grun slicktop 11 128i space gray slicktop 13 JGC WK2 Deep Cherry Search | RealOEM | | | 08-17-2012, 02:35 AM | #20 | Senior Member Join Date: Sep 2011 Location: Broomfield,Colorado Posts: 664 | How would I go about finding one of these | | | 09-25-2012, 03:11 AM | #21 | Member Join Date: Jun 2003 Location: Dublin, Pa Posts: 57 | Anyone know of a good source for rebuilt racks? Mine is leaking like crazy. It would be nice to put in a Z3 rack or E46 ZHP (32136757651) rack. I doubt that a z3 box in a ti would result in much more resistence. | | | 09-27-2012, 08:56 PM | #25 | Member Join Date: May 2007 Location: Florida Posts: 90 | There was a ZHP on the shop lift yesterday and I counted about 3 turns. Other than the mentioned parts for the Z3 rack you also need to realign the front after install. I have the Z3 rack and like it. On the track it is not any more twitchy at high speeds. I especially liked it this past weekend at Sebring as I was able to keep my hands at 3 and 9 o'clock in the hairpin without shuffling! | | | | | Currently Active Users Viewing This Thread: 1 (0 members and 1 guests) | | Posting Rules | You may not post new threads You may not post replies You may not post attachments You may not edit your posts HTML code is Off | | | |
