HELP!! Here's my problem. I have a 95ti sport, 5spd. Car cranks fine, starts up with effort, idles super rough at abt 4-500rpm then stalls. Changed plugs, wires, MAF, CVV, IACV, all new vacuum lines. My crank pos sensor is reading 1255 ohms. New fuel pump and filter. I only have the crank and cam position sensor and the coolant temp sensors left to change. Any ideas? Also no codes on my Peake scanner and stomp test. Can't figure it out... Look in the cracks of the bellows hose they like to split where you can't see it | | | 03-28-2012, 07:07 PM | #3 | Junior Member Join Date: Sep 2011 Location: Hawaii Posts: 16 | Thanks Johnboy, there were a few other things I changed, and that's one of em. Thoroughly checked boots and hoses. No vacuum leaks. Most vacuum and heating hoses changed out with OE parts. | | | 03-28-2012, 09:02 PM | #4 | Senior Member Join Date: May 2010 Location: Montreal Posts: 283 | I have to ask, was it like this before you changed any parts? and maybe your dipstick isn't in all the way, lol , oil cap? sounds like you're sucking up some air from somewhere and batt. connection , grounds. Are these faulty alternator symptoms? I remember a recent thread on this last week | | | 03-28-2012, 09:35 PM | #5 | Junior Member Join Date: Sep 2011 Location: Hawaii Posts: 16 | Battery is strong, cranks strong. I was sure it was vacuum leaks at first and replaced ALL vacuum and heater lines. Bought at dealer because I have a good discount. Double checked all fittings. Did the upper intake gaskets and lines behind motor (m42). Was thorough so I wouldn't have to recheck. This was a progressive issue that took a week of driving to fully manifest itself. Started with a rough idle when cold, but ran fine once warmed. Then cold idle became worse over the week to the point of not being able to hit operating temp. I did notice that under WOT when warm the engine would stumble around 5500rpm and not go past that. I thought fuel delivery and changed pump and filter. Changed that also. Donor coil pack was also put in. Thanks Mtlblue... I'm stumped | | | 03-30-2012, 02:24 AM | #6 | Senior Member Join Date: Dec 2007 Location: Gulfport, Florida Posts: 3,208 | Compression test or leak-down? DME have green corsion on the back from water? | | | 04-05-2012, 06:48 PM | #7 | Junior Member Join Date: Nov 2010 Location: houston tx Posts: 13 | Mine sounded like that after going thru deep water & getting steam throughout engine bay. I pulled the coil connectors & cleaned them real good.
