Default Best option for bumper? Painted, unpainted, used?

I want to replace my stock bumper with the M version but I'm not sure the best route to take. I don't want to spend too much if I can avoid it. Should I buy a new bumper and have it painted or buy a used one in black and hope it matches? What are the odds of the colors matching? Is there much fading over time? Any advice?

get a used one and have it painted.... cheapper....
but remember.... a new bumper is always a good thing.. no worries on missing lips, brackets etc...
I had the same choice to make in a hurry.... I love my car so I bought it a new bumper and had it color matched. BELIVE ME!!! I NEEDED IT!!!!!

Hey, I need one too because mine's cracked and paint is peeling off, but i covered it with touch up paint lol. When i asked the people at the dealer they said "around $500" but you know, that might just be a rounded number. Good luck finding one

the rear spoiler is the same brand as the OEM M3 spoilers... Z... the name starts with a Z... made of the same material... same rear brake light... I bought it as a "Ac Schnitzer spoiler" from this guy.... I had to remove the rear wiper.... but added a washer nozzle and if you tail gate me... i'll spit you!! HAHAHA!

The roof spoiler is reiger.... paid $100 new. Castle motorsports...

Oh i see i see...I think your rear spoiler is a ZENDER. That's the only brand i can think of that starts with a Z and i did a search on it and it looks like yours haha. Looks good. Thanks for the info on roof spoiler maurolin.

Techti, what i would do is to look for a GOOD USED one and paint it (for a reasonable price that is)...If you're lucky you might find one with the same color. Also, i heard that sometimes at bimmerforums, or one of the forum websites (sorry i forgot), under classifieds or whatever, people sell various things. So you might want to look there too , but yeah, i haven't had any first hand experience on those sites. Good luck finding your bumper.

Can someone give me an idea of what it costs to have a bumper painted and where is the best place to have it done?
