Default Option Code 0942?

What does option code 0942 Cancellation of special equipment mean? Im going to look at a ti and BMW printed me out the list of factory options for the car. This was the only thing I didnt know what it meant. Search had nothing for me. Thanks.

Never heard of that before. It didn't say what it was next to it? You should've asked Bmw if they printed it out for you.

I didnt notice it until I got back to work. I was in a hurry so I didnt have time to check it at the dealership.

All it says is cancellation of special equipment. I dont know what all is covered under special equipment.

It could be deletion of a 'standard' option part.

For example, in 1998, the rear wiper and rear seat head-rests (on sports) became standard equipment. If I could somehow delete them, it may show a code like that.

The sun roof was an option, so I doubt it would show a code like that.

Could also be attached to the package ordered. Say an active, with the OBC deleted?

I'm curious, so please let us know once you find out for sure.

On a '98 it could mean cancellation of the side air-bags which were supposed to become standard at one production point and then were not added until months later. Just a guess.
