WTB: 318TI Catalytic Converter

hey guys, I need to buy a catalytic converter and a crankcase vent valve for my gf's 98 318ti. Let me know if anyone has got something like this. Need it asap. thanks!

If your ti has less than 100k on it i still think the cat is covered under some kind of warranty. There was a recall on them a few years back,i had mine replaced in 02. I'd contact the dealership.

not all of them were covered. Neither of my 98's were, but it's worth a check. Call the dealer with the vin # handy and they'll let you know if you qualify.

When my cataylic was replaced it applied to only the 98's, but it was an EPA recall that BMW had to honor.

damn, good try guys, I called right away and they told me that there are no open recalls on the car. so I still need one!!!

I've got one out of a 94' M42 powered 318i auto with 68,000 miles on it. I am unsure of fitment, but it is in nice shape, the bottom has some scratches on it. I have no idea if it would fit your ti, but it is yours for $90 + shipping.

i had mine replaced. bought one off of autopartswarehouse.com (it was direct fit, and only 300$). the local bmw/mini specialty shop sort of gave me **** for it, but i have no problems yet, and a 5 year warranty card.

i also was recommended to replace the O2 sensors with it, just fyi. all in all, after next day shipping, it costs about 600 for the parts and I had a friend install it at his shop for 80$.

if bent workers cat fits it would only work on an OBD1 Ti (1995).

verify the part numbers on realoem.com don't trust me. I said IF it fits a Ti, it would only fit the 1995's because they are OBD1 like the donor 318i.
