It probably blew the fuse. __________________ I scream, you scream, we all scream for ZOMBIES. | | | 11-18-2007, 07:31 PM | #4 | NOBODY F's with the Jesus Join Date: Oct 2006 Location: Ventura California Posts: 7,824 | Hopefully it blew a fuse rather than cause a short somewhere else. Does everything else work? My lighter kept popping out too early before it even got hot enough to light a cigarette. It would jump out of the socket and fall onto the floorboard, almost caused me to wreck the first time it happened. Anyway, I tried to use a pencil to bend the tabs in. BAD idea, the pencil started smoking(not cigarettes, it caught on fire). __________________ 4 MORE YEARS BABY!!! | | | 11-18-2007, 07:37 PM | #5 | Senior Member Join Date: Jul 2007 Location: SW Florida Posts: 4,275 | lol __________________ Sean 1995 Active | | | 11-19-2007, 05:03 PM | #6 | Senior Member Join Date: Oct 2007 Location: Eugene Oregon Posts: 6,182 | haha thats random i bet someone dropped that penny and was like "sh***********t well to late now whatever!" __________________ -Josh Sold-1995 318ti, Club Sport, Hellrot Sold-1996 318ti, Active Model, Boston Green Current- 1995 318ti, sport model, schwartz | | | 11-20-2007, 11:52 AM | #7 | Junior Member Join Date: Apr 2007 Location: London Posts: 16 | hehe.. welllllll... i found another lighter socket in the boot, i tried that one and it doesnt work either.... so i guessing it might just be the fuse?? now.... who knows where the fuse is so i can give it a go.. | | | 11-20-2007, 12:13 PM | #8 | Senior Member Join Date: May 2007 Location: The Netherlands Posts: 188 | You can find the fuse under the hood, you wil see a smoked fuse:-). | | | 11-20-2007, 12:40 PM | #9 | Junior Member Join Date: Apr 2007 Location: London Posts: 16 | thanks for that.. you know i took my car in for a service a couple of weeks ago, when it came out the engine light was on, and it was the cam shaft sensors, so they fixed that and when it came out another light was on indicating a fault in the gearbox, this something to do with torque control now, and the car is being stupid, then this happened, and now the left side light isnt working, but its not the bulb.... gonna get the gear box fixed this week.... whyyy ohhh whyyy!?!? | | | 11-20-2007, 06:35 PM | #10 | Senior Member Join Date: Aug 2004 Location: state college, pa Posts: 3,431 | What kind of shop are you taking it to?
