Question PEAKE info

Hi again -
one more question - I am picking up my 98 318ti from the current owner on Tuesday - I bought the PEAKE tool and have it here.

Is there a chance that I will learn anything by plugging the PEAKE in even if there are no active service lights?
Thanks - C

It is possible. Some fault codes are stored but I don't know for how long.

fault codes are erased by disconnecting the battery, so if they've just replaced the battery or radio.......if there's anything there, it'll be back in a few days

I did the test for the heck of it when I picked the car up, and again today - so far nothing but "--". No news is good news in this case!
