Default Brake lights issue help!

Hello 318ti family, I just had a lil problem with rear brake lights, when I turn the headlights on then the rear brake lights stays on. When I turn the headlights off, rear brake works well but the corner lights will lights up at the same time when the rear brake lights lights up when I hit the brakes... The police pulled me over and gave me warning. I gotta fix that asap -___-

short in the light circuit probably

Sounds like resistance to ground. Check the ground point in the rear.

make sure you have all the correct bulbs, a parts store should be able to tell you what you should have

Did this just start happening or gradual? Did you do anything first like new bulbs, wireing work, tail light swap? This will help narrow down the problem.

Do the brake lights use dual filament bulbs? sounds like someone installed standard bulbs.

I've had a dual filament burn out twice and the bub internally shorted....New bulb fixed the problem.

i had the wrong bulb in once...everything went whacky.
i replaced it with the correct double filament bulb and all was well.

I found the problem, it was bad brake switch. I replace all the brake blubs new. Now its all working fine. Whew
