Default Shifter with the ZF?

Jim's manual covers the modifications to the shifter when reusing the getrag tranny.

Anyone know off the top of your head if I am going to have to modify the stock M52 shifter to align in the hole?

I am going to refresh the bushings etc but don't plan on going to a short aftermarket unit at this time.

Sorry for all the questions, but trying to figure out any remaining issues in prep for install weekend next weekend.

The shifter and ZF trans from the 328i donor car fit perfectly without any modifications on my conversion.

In my experience I've had to bend the selector rod, #9

Bend it downroad like a rainbow

+1. ZFs came in the 328 fitted to the same chassis as the TI therefore they will work. It's from the driveshaft back that you have to be careful matching parts, or more likely, have custom stuff made.

Closing out thread for future search purposes. 328 shifter in, no problems at all with it fitting.
