Funny thing is it wasn't me doing 90mph, I had spanked two Harleys for a short clip and slowed to the speed limit. Cop was real cool and asked me how fast I was going which I replied the speed limit 45 maybe 5mph over which was the truth when he hit the radar. He then stated I got 90 on my radar which I replied are you sure it was me and not those two Harleys that blew by me when you shot the instant-on Ka. He laughed and said I think it was the Harleys, so I asked why didn't you chase them down and he says I wanted to take a look at your car, my windows were down and I did hear your car involved in a race with those Harleys but when you came over the hill you seemed to be at normal speed, how did that happen (with a grin)? I said sir I must plead the 5th on that, he laughed again. He asked to sit in my car asked a bunch of questions about mods and said he loved the sound of it coming at him even though he couldn't see what it was until I came over the hill. Told me to keep it clean and I thanked him about 5 times and offered him lunch which he declined. I just got off probation 3 days ago and almost got in big trouble again. Yes I'm going up for lottery tickets today ***Please do not follow in my foot steps, you will not be as lucky and could kill someone doing illegial street racing*** | | | 10-03-2009, 07:22 PM | #2 | Junior Member Join Date: Sep 2009 Location: Springfield Mass Posts: 26 | wow dude that's crazy, im glad he dident arrest you, here in Massachusetts, its a $1000 dollar fine, license pulled for a year, and 6 months aggressive driving rehab for street racing. haha. but thank god your good. good luck on the scratch tickets. | | | 10-03-2009, 07:27 PM | #3 | Senior Member Join Date: May 2006 Location: Memphis, Tn Posts: 1,299 | Awesome man. Glad you didn't get in trouble. You should get lottery tickets because today is your lucky day. I am always thankful when a cop lets me go with a warning. I got pulled over by a sheriff when I was going 80mph but he let me go. Very nice guy. __________________ custom dual exhaust,M3 front and rear bumper, 10.4 inch roof mount drop screen, Viper alarm system, DSII's rims, M3 Vader Seats, M3 Mirrors, Carbon Fiber CAI, Smoked Corners, Side Markers, Leatherz armrests, black grilles 225k miles and still the Ti goes on | | | 10-03-2009, 08:08 PM | #4 | Senior Member Join Date: Mar 2005 Location: Portland Or Posts: 2,666 | Off probation 72 hours and at it again? I left some things out!!! These Harley guys messed with me for 2 miles before Dale Mabry on-ramp and acted like they were going to pass me on the single lane on-ramp, driving on either of my rear quarter panels. As soon as I hit the 3 lane I dropped to second and dusted them hard until about 60mph then let off and coasted to 45 the speed limit. Both bikes flew by me at 90 at the top of the hill when the Sheriff hit radar. Dave | I have an issue with too much Dopamine and the high I can get from stimulus (racing). I take 2 meds for it. One to wash Dopamine out of my system and the other so my body makes less of it. Maybe you will understand why I take the risk without thinking of the consequence by what I just wrote... | | | 10-03-2009, 11:09 PM | #13 | Senior Member Join Date: Nov 2007 Location: Rocky Hill, CT Posts: 1,065 | Quote: Originally Posted by Project 318ti wow dude that's crazy, im glad he dident arrest you, here in Massachusetts, its a $1000 dollar fine, license pulled for a year, and 6 months aggressive driving rehab for street racing. haha. but thank god your good. good luck on the scratch tickets. | Damn, that's good to know. I drive in Mass a fair amount when I'm at school, had no idea it's that strict there John, from what I get from your posts you're a speed JUNKY. You gotta hit the track soon to get it out of your system, or go out on your boat __________________ 1995 318TI base. 95 2.5L from 325IS. S50 cams+pistons, e36 M3 front brakes. H&R race springs F+R. If I win the big one tonight I will share half with you. I'm not kidding forum threads can be subpoenaed for this promiss of half (after taxes of course). What would we do with the money? I think we would both need a personal 1/4 mile drag strip to keep us out of trouble | | | | | Currently Active Users Viewing This Thread: 1 (0 members and 1 guests) | | Posting Rules | You may not post new threads You may not post replies You may not post attachments You may not edit your posts HTML code is Off | | | |
