Have a corner light out and I'm trying to decide whether I should replace the bulb in the orange corner or just get new ones in clear. I like the way the clears look but I've been told that the orange gives the car a bit of color and I was just wondering what the community's opinion on this was. | | | 03-06-2010, 10:06 AM | #2 | Senior Member Join Date: Feb 2006 Location: Westfield, IN Posts: 1,335 | Clear I would definitely get clears __________________ Greg M42 Club member 186 WTB: HELLROT RED CLUB SPORT 95 ti sold but staying in the family. | | | 03-06-2010, 02:40 PM | #3 | That's not Millpoint Blue Join Date: Apr 2005 Location: BNA Posts: 3,161 | Check your local laws to make sure whether or not there are any restrictions on changing that sort of thing. Personally, I prefer smoked over clear. __________________ Real men know how to SEARCH! This is entirely your choice, and nothing is more meaningless than someone else's opinion. If you like/want them, get them. Or not. When clear 'Euro style' turn signals became available for the E36, a lot of people got them for that new and different look. But they're common enough on E36s now that they are hardly novel. All that matters now is what you like.... __________________ *Except 318ti '97 318ti M-Sport '95 M3 BMWCCA | | | 03-06-2010, 04:27 PM | #5 | Senior Member Join Date: Apr 2007 Location: Elizabeth City, NC Posts: 3,877 | I love the orange turns and sidemarkers, not a fan of clear or smoked. Euro tails look better than US though, imo. __________________ ~Dave~ 98 328ti Morea Grun slicktop 11 128i space gray slicktop 13 JGC WK2 Deep Cherry Search | RealOEM | | | 03-07-2010, 01:07 AM | #6 | Senior Member Join Date: Sep 2007 Location: asdfasdf Posts: 10,002 | Quote: Originally Posted by roadrash Check your local laws to make sure whether or not there are any restrictions on changing that sort of thing. | there probably are, all cars in the US must have amber reflectors in the front, I've never had any problems with mine though so I wouldn't worry about it on Hellrot, I could honestly go either way, Hellrot is one of the few colors that can pull of amber I think | | | 03-07-2010, 02:57 AM | #7 | Senior Member Join Date: Apr 2007 Location: Auburn, WA Posts: 1,814 | get clears or a light smoke like mines (pretty much clears lol) __________________ 5/96 318TI Sport BIG TURBO | | | 03-07-2010, 04:26 AM | #8 | Senior Member Join Date: Feb 2006 Location: Westfield, IN Posts: 1,335 | Quote: Originally Posted by roadrash Check your local laws to make sure whether or not there are any restrictions on changing that sort of thing.
