Default Question about suspension

Would changing the size of the stock rims do anything to the suspension? I am looking to buy a 318ti and the guy put M style rims on there which are a little larger. A friend of mine said that it can do something to the suspension and when i take it to my Mechanic i sould have him take a look at that.

Would the rim size really do anything.. The rims arent much bigger maybe about 2 inches ... if that.

Thanks

I have rims 2 inches bigger, and it did effect my car. It made my car stick to the road a lot better. In short, those M style rims are a good thing.
