I already tried to take off the backing but that didnt turn out so well. Looks all faded and what not. Does anyone know where I could find a small plastic transparent "///M" piece that would fit in the little square on the 6 cyl clusters? Or have any suggestions that I can go on? Thanks. __________________ -Theta Chi- Float like a cadilac, sting like a BIMMER .... my socket is just too thick and won't fit in the hole! damnit! Marv's 332ti is in the werks. Stay tuned ya'll ... I bought one from him, love it. You can't get the stock one to light because of the way it's made. The backing behind the //M is completely opaque. __________________ SOLD!!! 1999 332ti //M Sport Titanium Silver M3 S52 3.2 I-6 Engine, M3 Clutch w/ ti Getrag Trans, Z3 3.15 LSD medium case diff and half shafts, OEM Hatch Spoiler, Eurosport HP Underdrive Pulleys, FDM, 17" DS1 rims, M3 Front Struts & Springs, M3 Instrument Cluster, 3-spoke //M steering wheel with tri-color stitching, SSK, CCFL Angels in Depo projectors with 5k HIDs | | | 07-30-2009, 07:23 PM | #3 | Senior Member Join Date: May 2007 Location: LA, Bellflower, CA Posts: 3,613 | Quote: Originally Posted by campaiar There was a guy selling them on bf.c. Don't like the fact that the colors aren't right. I put a lot of work into my cluster to get the gauges to light up blue. I'll probably do the same to my M cluster when I install the rings. As for making the M light up, meh... | | | 08-03-2009, 07:03 AM | #7 | Senior Member Join Date: May 2007 Location: LA, Bellflower, CA Posts: 3,613 | Quote: Originally Posted by cooljess76 Yeah, I'm not totally sold either. As for making the M light up, meh... | you can probably use the same housing part, the clear plastic that you drilled the LEDs into. i think those are the same fitment. you should do that and keep the needles lit up red. as for the ///M thing. ill think of something. maybe just make something out of some transparent plasitcs in the colors and use a white light instead of an amber one. we'll see. i'll probably think of something when im bored. right now im tightening up my e-brake. __________________ -Theta Chi- Float like a cadilac, sting like a BIMMER .... my socket is just too thick and won't fit in the hole! damnit! Still there are about a billion other car projects on the list before I could spend the time to do this | | | | Currently Active Users Viewing This Thread: 1 (0 members and 1 guests) | | Posting Rules | You may not post new threads You may not post replies You may not post attachments You may not edit your posts HTML code is Off | | | |
