Default Hunting idle and at speed misfire

I noticed my 95 had what felt like a slight misfire on the highway, wife complained bitterly about the idle hunting around and light pinging. I replaced the plugs (Bosch 4+), cleaned the TPS sensor, and removed and cleaned the idle valve plus added a clamp on it's hose (tube was kind of loose IMO). I don't feel any misfire now, and the idle seems better. I had the wife use 93 octane, no pinging now but not sure if it's related. I am wondering if the airflow meter is intermittent, as I could see that causing all kinds of problems like this. No codes are set BTW.
