Default '96 318ti FOR SALE!

1996 BMW 318 ti

*** This is a "GREY MARKET" or "GREY IMPORT" car ***

Red, automatic, 150k miles, adult owners, cloth seats, non smoker, tinted windows, auto locks/windows, some hail damage.

Pictures for serious inquiries ONLY! Please email for request.
I have had this vehicle since early 2010.
Selling because I need a bigger vehicle and because I don't have the time to invest in a grey market vehicle.

The AC went out during the summer, which I got fixed (cost $1200, have receipts). At the time I purchased this car I had no idea finding parts for a grey market vehicle, especially a grey market 318ti would be this hard.

If you're reading this, you obviously know about these vehicles. My car runs great. The only "problems" I've ran into with this car was the AC and now the heat is acting up. I haven't taken it to the mechanic to have the heat checked out.

Email me with serious inquires only please. Thanks.

What does gray market have to do with finding parts?

Most of the parts (under the hood) aren't readily available in the US. That results in having to track something down in Germany where the car was meant to stay. I just don't have the time to do that anymore.

Such as what part? AFAIK, the cars are the same, with exceptions for the bumpers and headlights.

The heater coil and hoses are a few of the things I've found that are different. They're not big things at all. It also seems like even the parts that fit both cars are hard for me to find here in OKC and end up being way too expensive. A few months ago my taillight went out ( something with the wiring). I thought hunting down a rear light assembly would be the best way to fix it, which it did. I wasn't going to buy a new one and had to hunt one down at a salvage. It took me weeks to find one and ended up having to get it shipped which wasn't a problem. I think I'm just getting frustrated because I really don't have the time to put into the car anymore. So now I think the best thing for me is to sell it.

Just a tip, you're selling a 14 year old base model BMW, by saying you will only send photos to "serious buyers" drives away people who would otherwise take a look at your car, such as myself.

Please describe this mysterious heater coil thing. What does it look like and where is it located? I'd also like to hear more about the "Grey Market" thing. Is your car different than the thousands of other 318ti's here in the states and on this forum? You do realize that this is a 318ti enthusiast forum, so trying to bs us isn't gonna fly.
