I would be willing to pay a premium for a set of factory mud flaps to fit the Ti with m-sport side moldings. If anyone happens to have a set, or know someone who has a set stashed away somewhere (long unavailable through BMW parts sources) please let me know! cheers, tbw __________________ 1/1997 M44 ti M-Sport Schwartz II | | | 06-17-2010, 10:38 PM | #2 | Member Join Date: Feb 2009 Location: Florida - Tampa Posts: 92 | Try BavarianAutosport.com I picked up a rear set a month ago for $5.00 plus shipping. | | | 06-18-2010, 02:36 AM | #3 | Senior Member Join Date: Nov 2007 Location: Rocky Hill, CT Posts: 1,065 | anyone got pics of these installed? I think they look great. Nicely molded to the bumper profile and everything BavAuto.com, getBMWparts.com, even my local dealer has them for about $5 online. That's a killer deal. Unless I'm missing something?? The front ones are $51.20 at getbmwparts.com Needless to say I just ordered a set of rear ones. Will post pics! Ron Stygar's writeup details the ones I'm talking about, as you linked to. The parts have been long-discontinued. Tischer told me they can't source them. Same from BavAuto. I'm considering molding new ones, if I can get ahold of the originals. Or I may just fab something up from scratch if that fails. I AM DETERMINED! tbw __________________ 1/1997 M44 ti M-Sport Schwartz II | | | 06-18-2010, 05:21 PM | #6 | Senior Member Join Date: Aug 2007 Location: Monterey, CA Posts: 770 | Quote: Originally Posted by blndweasel I would be willing to pay a premium for a set of factory mud flaps to fit the Ti with m-sport side moldings. Any chance you might be willing to part with the set? Name your price. And if I end up having more molded, I'll give you a set for free! tbw __________________ 1/1997 M44 ti M-Sport Schwartz II | | | 06-18-2010, 06:18 PM | #8 | Senior Member Join Date: Aug 2007 Location: Monterey, CA Posts: 770 | Not that I really care for these or anything but I really have no plans on parting with them unless they're worth something outrageous I.E. $200 plus but I will be willing to let you borrow them if you want to reproduce them. | | | 06-18-2010, 11:55 PM | #9 | Senior Member Join Date: Nov 2007 Location: Rocky Hill, CT Posts: 1,065 | Quote: Originally Posted by dahamler Are these the one that you are asking about? | that's exactly the shot I was hoping for, but a non M bumper. They appear to still be available. Just get online - go to bavauto - type in MUD FLAPS and then select vehicle. Shipping to Fla was $5.95 - so $11.90 total. Good Luck! | Wow, yeah, that's the real deal. They told me last week they were gone. You must have gotten the last set. Did you get front and rear flaps? tbw __________________ 1/1997 M44 ti M-Sport Schwartz II | | | 06-20-2010, 04:19 PM | #12 | Senior Member Join Date: Jan 2008 Location: San Diego Posts: 340 | OK, so just the rears... I ordered two sets just now, we'll see what happens. I figure I can use the second set as masters for a mold, if I decide to do that. I wonder why the sales rep said they didn't have them anymore? Perhaps I asked him about front AND rear flaps. @dahamler: It would be great if I could mold your front flaps, but let me try looking a little bit more, I have this weird feeling I will find a set SOMEHOW. looking at Stygar's shots, the front ones are what would require a different cut for different side-skirt variations. I don't know if I'll be able to modify a set of rears to fit the front. It's such a smaller flap up there. tbw __________________ 1/1997 M44 ti M-Sport Schwartz II Last edited by blndweasel; 06-20-2010 at 04:24 PM. | | | 06-20-2010, 04:28 PM | #13 | Senior Member Join Date: Jul 2009 Location: US Posts: 315 | | | | 06-20-2010, 05:21 PM | #14 | Senior Member Join Date: Jan 2008 Location: San Diego Posts: 340 | Nope, no luck on the fronts.
